Cootamundra is a town located in the south-western region of New South Wales, Australia. It lies on the banks of the Muttama Creek and is surrounded by agricultural land.
The town was founded in the 1860s and has a rich history, with many of its buildings and landmarks dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is known as the birthplace of the cricketer Sir Donald Bradman, who was born in a cottage in the town in 1908.
Today, Cootamundra has a population of around 6,000 people and is a popular destination for tourists, particularly those interested in history and heritage. Some of the town's notable attractions include the Bradman Birthplace Museum, the Cootamundra Heritage Centre, and the Railway Station Museum.
